Cheesy Baked Sliced Potatoes

This side dish pairs well with everything! Fish, chicken, beef, or pork it makes a great pair to any main course! In the picture it is paired with marinaded Teriyaki salmon that we cooked on the grill.




Cheesy Baked Sliced Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • Approximately 8 russet potatoes cut into thin chips

  • 1/2 stick of butter

  • 1 tablespoon of Garlic Salt

  • 1 teaspoon of Garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of pepper

  • 1 cup of heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup Gouda cheese (shredded)

  • 1/2 cup of pepperjack cheese (shredded)

  • 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese (shredded)

Directions:

  • Rub 1/4 of a stick of butter over the cast iron skillet

  • Dice potatoes into thin round chip like pieces.

  • Line cast iron skillet placing potatoes much like hassleback potatoes in the skillet (or how you would ratatouille)

  • Season potatoes with garlic salt, garlic powder, and pepper

  • In a sauce pan heat heavy cream to boiling and reduce to medium heat

  • Add in cheeses slowly over time while stirring constantly so cream and cheese oils don't separate

  • Once all cheese is melted pour over potatoes

  • Bake at 450 for 45 minutes.
